The Web Accessibility and Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting the college’s commitment to accessibility and equal opportunity. This position assists in managing the institution’s web accessibility compliance program and ensures digital content meets federal requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and WCAG 2.1 AA standards. The Specialist works closely with faculty, staff, and departments to deliver inclusive design practices, conduct accessibility audits, and provide guidance on creating accessible websites, documents, and digital media.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of accessibility standards and tools, excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences, and the ability to independently lead projects from assessment through resolution. With expertise in accessibility testing platforms, digital content platforms, and compliance regulations, the Specialist advances the college’s mission of fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all.
