Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Developer to join our growing Information Technology, Systems & Services (ITSS) team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the applications and platforms that power Movement’s business operations.
You’ll partner with both technical and non-technical teams to translate feature ideas into performant, maintainable, and impactful solutions that support Movement’s mission and values of Growth, Connection, and Integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and integrations supporting core business functions
- Build and maintain APIs and microservices for data access, integration, and business services
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
- Optimize relational and non-relational databases and data warehouses (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Fabric)
- Partner with analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support cloud platform development (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and application DevOps as needed
- Monitor, debug, and improve application and platform performance
- Document code, architecture, and deployment processes for team transparency and continuity
- Contribute to data governance, pipeline optimization, and system integration initiatives
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Degree in Computer Science, web or application development—or equivalent hands-on experience
- 0 -2 years’ experience in software or web development
- Familiarity in Python, JavaScript (Node.js), Java, or similar languages
- Experience creating APIs and working with API gateways
- Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., React, Django, Flask, Express.js)
- Experience using Git and working within CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to map data sources and research availability, sourcing, and fulfillment options
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage priorities independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset with strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS Lambda, GCP Dataflow, Azure Data Factory)
- Familiarity with containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

Additional Details
- Employment Type: Part-time/Full-time TBD
- This can be a part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit.
- Schedule: Standard work schedule of (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), and it requires additional on-call availability as business needs arise. On-call responsibilities are considered part of the regular duties of this position and are included in the salary compensation.
- Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 annually (full-time), and dependent on part-time or full-time status, skills and experience.
